Indie Q Radio: Turning the Spotlight Back on Real Artists 2025

Indie Q Radio: Turning the Spotlight Back on Real Artists

Supporting independent artists has always been our heartbeat, and it’s still the thing that guides every new step we take. The music world never sits still, and for artists carving out their own lane, it can feel like the ground is constantly shifting.

With every shift comes a mix of challenges and chances—opportunities to rethink how we can show up for creators in a real, meaningful way. Today, we’ve got an update that leans into that purpose and opens a clearer path for emerging talent to be seen and heard.

For a long time, playlists were a big part of how we helped artists get that first spark. They boosted streams, pulled new listeners in, and helped introduce fresh sounds to wider audiences. But the playlist world isn’t what it used to be. Algorithms wobble, engagement comes and goes, curation gets messy, and platform rules change way too often. It’s become tough for independent artists to count on playlists as a steady foundation.

So we listened—to artists, to the industry, and to what we know we can do better. And it became clear it was time to rethink the old model.

A New Chapter: Meet Indie Q Radio

We’re thrilled to roll out Indie Q Radio—a radio-style show built from the ground up to spotlight independent musicians and give overlooked music the attention it deserves.

Indie Q Radio focus

Radio gives us something playlists simply can’t: a curated listening experience that feels intentional and human.

No unpredictable sorting, no disappearing placements—just real people presenting real music with care. Indie Q Radio creates a space where artists aren’t drowned out by algorithms or pushed aside by shifting systems.

And this isn’t just “hit play and walk away.” Each episode brings stories, features, genre moments, and little windows into who these artists actually are. It’s not just about the sound—it’s about the people behind it.

What This Means for Artists

We’re stepping away from taking new playlist-pitching orders, but that doesn’t mean fewer opportunities—just better ones. Instead of chasing the algorithm, we’re focusing on places where listeners are genuinely tuned in.

Artists will still be highlighted through:

  • Thoughtful blog features + interview-style moments
  • Short-form podcast segments
  • Dedicated Indie Q Radio spotlights
  • Social and community-focused music shares

All of these together create a fuller, more reliable way to help artists get discovered.

As Indie Q Radio kicks off, we’re shining a light on an incredible mix of talent. Eggmen Road, Dissidenciya brings a bold, globally influenced rap sound. Ray Donato warms the season with Never Alone For Christmas. Martin Gladstone offers a reflective, moving moment with When A Leaf Falls.

Rising hip-hop voice Chez gets raw and honest with Drijfzand. Chaz Landry blends storytelling and soul on He Ain’t No Saint. Lreds charges into 2025 with the bright energy of Beloved (2025). Rick Souder shares work rooted in faith and sincerity. And Tony Marino brings nostalgic, instrumental rock warmth with his latest album.

Looking Ahead

Change isn’t always comfortable, but it often leads to something better. Shifting toward a radio-driven approach gives us more room to be creative, personal, and true to the values that matter most to us.

To every artist and supporter who’s been part of our path—thank you. Your belief in what we’re building means everything. As we step into this next chapter with Indie Q Radio and new content on the way, our commitment to uplifting independent voices is stronger than ever.

Here’s to new ideas, new sounds, and a brighter future for indie music—together.

Indie Q Radio will air four nights a week—Thursday through Saturday from 8:00 to 9:00 PM. Each episode will feature three distinct segments:

  • Artist Spotlight – We highlight one featured artist and play two of their standout tracks.
  • Genre Flow – A curated set of five to six songs from artists in a genre related to the Spotlight artist, whether that’s Country, Christian, Rock, Pop, or anything in between.
  • Open Mix – A potpourri of deserving artists from any genre and from around the world—acts we believe deserve your attention.

Although the show airs live each night, we will replay the previous night’s episode the following day at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, giving listeners multiple opportunities to catch anything they may have missed before that evening’s new show.

As the station grows, this format may evolve based on listener feedback, which we strongly encourage. The show is designed to stay fresh and dynamic—not stagnant—and will continue to develop over time.
